Who decides on the arrangements?

So far, Kharnatsang has been the one to express his wish for a mantra or prayer to be reinterpreted in a new musical arrangement. However, I quickly made it my own and still find great joy in it to this day.
With the exception of the Heart Mantras, where other musicians—especially Benedikt ter Braak—were involved, I create the arrangements myself. Once the musical character of a new piece begins to take shape during the creative process, I send a rough mix to Kharnatsang for his feedback. If he approves, I finalize the arrangement and proceed with the mixing process in the studio.
There have been instances where Kharnatsang did not agree with an arrangement. Naturally, in such cases, it was not released.

Who decides on the cover images?

Kharnatsang usually provides the initial idea for the cover images of our albums and singles – exept for the „Mantra of the Fice Elements“ – where I took the initiative with a suggestion. I then discuss these ideas with Rebecca ter Braak, our graphic designer from the very beginning. Rebecca creates several variations of a cover, and Kharnatsang makes the final decision on which one to use for each release.
The absence of Tibetan script on our cover images is due to TuneCore’s rules and regulations. Both Rebecca and I deeply regret this. However, Kharnatsang decided that the advantages of using TuneCore outweigh this restriction.
To compensate for this creative and cultural limitation, we provide the Tibetan spelling of the mantras, along with additional information on the mantras and ritual pieces, on Kharnatsang’s website.

Where does the money go?

The music from our project is distributed by TuneCore, an online music distributor based in New York, which has so far provided the most suitable service for Kharnatsang’s and my goals. TuneCore operates on an annual fee basis and offers additional services for extra charges.
Since 2019, we have earned a total of $755.00, from which we have covered the annual and additional fees, as well as, at times, the invoices of our graphic designer, Rebecca. As of March 18, 2025, our account balance stands at $170.13.
TuneCore maintains a detailed record of all financial transactions, allowing us to track the financial history of our project at any time. At Kharnatsang’s request, I handle communication with TuneCore and oversee the finances. However, the project’s name, Kharnatsang, serves as public proof of Kharnatsang’s equal involvement.
